A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

We have all heard this expression before and it is more than true.  However, no picture speaks the same thousand words to everyone.  We all bring to viewing anything and everything something of the person we ourselves are.  As we stand or sit before any picture, we see our own feelings, experience our own intuition, see a reflection of ourselves or we project our own experiences and beliefs onto the subject.

This is a picture of me.  I will say no more.  I am wondering what you see when you look at it ???

  1. Stunning… I see a woman continuing on her journey, without any obstacles in the way. Just a path that leads the heart and soul into a place of acceptance, serenity and a quiet peace that speaks softly to all who care to pay attention. There is no real beginning or end to the journey, it is just a continuum of paths she takes on the trail of life.

You really need to frame this picture. It is amazing! I can’t stop looking at it.

  2. Hi Natalie, Thank you for your always uplifting words. I will say that this picture says something different to me everytime I look at it. I don’t want to say anymore about it right now in case others want to comment. I want their comments untainted by my own thoughts about the picture. However, I do agree that it is an amazing picture and i will say too that it is very representative of my life at the present moment…each and every time I look at it.

  3. Thanks Marita. Sometimes that too is what I see. Sometimes it depends on if I am having a day where the glass is half full or if it is a day when the glass is half empty. On a half full day I see all the beauty of the Hoosier National Forest surrounding me…On a half empty day….I see a lonely journey on a never ending road. But this is life right ? some days are half full and some are half empty. I prefer seeing the beauty and that is what I get up every morning and tell myself. And by the way..I am enamored of the portrait shots you post on your blog. I really have to find a moment for us to get together, I want to hear all about what you are doing. IN DETAIL 🙂
